A: GBN4ME helps people make contacts and nurture their network. One can not only grow their business in terms of making prolific acquaintances to build career starting from finding the right people to leading the right people ,or if nothing else, just for dropping greetings to your friends.
USING GBN4ME:
Q: How do I get more people to visit me and interact with me on GBN4ME?
A: Here are a few suggestions- you can upload events, join groups or form new ones, invite members, post articles, GBN provides ample scope for interaction amongst its members.
Q: What is "Contacts" in Gbn4me?
A: Contacts contains four features, your unconfirmed contacts, your confirmed contacts, members waiting for your confirmation and bookmarked people who you wish to add as a friend but haven’t sent a request till now.
Q: How do I change the e-mail address I receive Gbn4me notifications at?
A: You can change it by going on the settings page and selecting login data, it gives you an option of changing your email id, but alongside your user id will also change.
Q: I can't remember my password. How can I find it out?
A: On your login page, their option of forgot password; it will ask you certain questions and forward your password to your mail id.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: You can change your password through privacy setting option.
Q: Can I give my e-mail address to other Gbn4me members?
A: Yes, you can give your e-mail address out to other Gbn4me members. We HIGHLY recommend using the Contact Info Permission or Private Messaging systems
MATERIALS POSTED TO GBN4ME:
Q: Does Gbn4me claim copyright on material I submit to Gbn4me?
A: No. By submitting materials hold the copyright on to Gbn4me, you grant Gbn4me certain nonexclusive rights to use your material, but you retain the copyright.
Q: Why does Gbn4me require ongoing rights to submitted material?
A: Once material is posted to the site it becomes an important part of the continuity of the site and the network of information.
Think of the service more as a database of interconnected information than as a web page service.
For example,
when you add a person to your contacts, you make a mini-backup of that person's page and information, adding them into your contact database. Even if that person later cancels their Gbn4me account, that information is still there for you.
Similarly there message board posts and other information they have put into the network still remain. We have not figured out what other functionality we'll work on in the future. The sheer amount of features in Gbn4me makes it difficult to anticipate everything.
NETWORKING:
Q: If a member wants to come in my network, what do I do?
A: Well, it’s really up to you. If someone wants to join your network, they would probably send you a private message.
If you visit their page and want to network with them, you could send them a short message with a few questions to know more about them. Or you could click yes on them too, and let them initiate conversation sometime.
Q: Can people find out if I say "No" to their requests sent to me in terms of networking, accepting friend requests, or de4clining their event invites?
A: No, there are only listings of people who say "Yes" visible to people.
Q: Is there a listing of all network members?
A: yes, one can see all the members of one network by clicking on that network’s name.
Q: What is a Network on Gbn4me?
A: A Network is a grouping of people around a shared interest or area. Examples include areas of business such as fashion designers, creative writers, production houses, journalists etc. When you are a member of a Network, that Network is listed on your Gbn4me page. Each Network has a message board where you can leave messages for members to see.
Q: How many Networks can I join?
A: you can join as many as networks you want.
Q: How can I create a Network on gbn4me?
A: yes, if you are the first one from a field whose network is not made, then you can initiate it.
Q: How to join a network ?
A: you can join a network by clicking on that particular network page and by selecting join network.
GETTING STARTED:
Q: What's a Private Message?
A: Sending Private Messages in Gbn4me lets you contact someone with a message that others won't read (in comparison to Address book entries) and send them a message, even if you don't have their e-mail address.
Q: I can't login in. When I type in my username and password correctly and press the submit button, I just go back to the Sign in form again. What should I do?
A: In future, please click on Sign-in help for this kind of problem.
It is mainly Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 users who have this problem.
We use cookies to store your login session. If your privacy settings prevent those cookies from being accepted, then each time you click on the login button you will be returned to the login form again.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, look at your privacy setting by selecting the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then click on the Privacy tab. You can set your privacy setting down to Medium High and this should work, or else click on the 'Edit' button at the bottom of the Privacy settings tab and then enter 'gbn4me.com' where it says
'Address of Web site:' and then click on 'Allow'.
If you already have set cookies as suggested and still unable to login:
- Make sure you enter correct password
- Clear your browser's cache
E.g. Tools - Options - Temporary Internet Files - Delete Files.

Q: What are "Friends" in Gbn4me and how do I add them?
A: To add a Gbn4me member as a friend:
1. From the Gbn4me member's home page, click on the "Add as Friend" link at the top of their page.
2. Type in the member's e-mail address to send a friend request.
Note: You need to know the e-mail address of the member to send them a friend request. You should only send friend requests to people you know. If you do not know the other person's e-mail address, you would need to get to know them well enough that they feel comfortable sharing their e-mail address with you. If they confirm your friend request, then you will be listed in each other's friends list.
Q: What is a book mark?
A: book mark is a tool which helps you to book mark members as prospective friends and you can add them to your list later. It can be seen in the address book.
